BISP is open to all photographers from all over the world, whether amateur or professional. The exhibition will be conducted in accordance with the requirements and practices of FPSI (Federation of Photographic Society of Indonesia), FIAP and PSA. Acceptances received in approved sections of this exhibition are eligible for FPSI Star Ratings & Distinction (Local Entry Only), FIAP Distinction, PSA Star Ratings, listing in the worldwide PSA Who’s Who of photography, and credited toward the PSA.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates subject to divisional restrictions. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own (aliases are not permitted). An entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging for that section
(A) OPEN COLOUR (PID)
In this open section, pictures on any subject including creative or experimental images, can be submitted. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. Nude images are prohibited by the Indonesian Law.
(B) OPEN MONOCHROME (PID)
FIAP Black and White photography (Monochrome) Definition:
A black and white image containing various shades of grey from black to white is considered to be monochrome w. A black & white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black & white category; such a work may be reproduced in black & white in the catalogue. On the other hand a black and white work modified by partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category. Nude images are prohibited by the Indonesian Law.
(C) PHOTO TRAVEL
PSA PHOTO TRAVEL Definition:
A Photo Travel image must express the feeling of a time and place, and portray a land, its distinctive features or culture in its natural state. There are no geographical limitations. Close-up pictures of people or objects must include distinguishable environment. Techniques that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Conversion to greyscale monochrome is acceptable. Derivations, including infrared, are unacceptable.
(D) PORTRAIT (PID MONOCHROME)
PORTRAIT is photography of a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the subject. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of the photograph is usually the person’s face, although the entire body and the background or context may be included. Only monochrome can be submitted. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.
All authors must fill out an ONLINE ENTRY FORM on the official website and submit entries online.
- Photos must be in JPG file format with 300 dpi & sRGB colour space.
- Image width minimum 1920 pixels for landscape/horizontal type (keep height auto).
- Image height minimum 1200 pixels for portrait/vertical type (keep width auto).
- Image width/height maximum 6200 pixels.
- JPEG compression value (if Photoshop used for export): 10-12.
- File size maximum 8 MB.
- Please use latest browsers like Firefox or Google Chrome to upload online.
- Minimum 25% acceptance rate is may be considered.
- Please check image dimensions and sizes if you get upload errors.
- Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates subject to Nature, Photo Travel and Photojournalism divisional restrictions.
- No title or identification of the maker shall be visible anywhere on the face of an image, print mat or mount entered in a PSA Recognized exhibition.
Image File naming will be done automatic.
Each image must have a unique title. Once an image has been accepted in a PSA Recognized exhibition, that same image, or a like “in camera” or a “reproduction” duplicate of that image:
- May not be re-entered in any section of the same Division Star Ratings class in that exhibition regardless of media, format, or title.
- May not be re-titled for entry in any other PSA Recognized exhibition
- Words such as “Untitled” and “No Title” are not acceptable as part or all of an image’s title, nor are camera capture filenames or titles consisting of only numbers.
- Images without an acceptable title may not be judged.

PAYPAL is only accepted payment methods for International Participants. All payments should be paid via our online payment system. The organizers regret that entries for which no fee is received will not be judged.

All participant will receive report cards via email the exhibition report cards and results will also be published on the website.
Entries are limited to not more than 4 images per section, category, or class. An entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging in that section. Photographs will be judged with a high definition monitor. Each judge will have separate display monitors. No information about the entrant, her/his country will be visible during the judging process.
The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions. There are no restrictions as to subject matter except as outlined in the rules and definitions of specific sections, or specified by law in the country where the exhibition is held.
The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker. Artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates subject to divisional restrictions. All final work must be on photographic film, or on electronic file, or on photographic or electronic print material, mounting excepted.
